Long-Reach Low-Profile Torque Reaction Arm

The client needed an ergonomic torque reaction solution for mounting a large wheel during the assembly process.

GCI designed a long-reach, low-profile torque reaction arm mounted on a mobile base that can safely handle up to 1500 NM. The torque tool is activated using the remote start handle at the end of the manipulator arm.

Like all GCI manipulators, the arm is well-balanced to make side-to-side articulation simple for the operator. To make vertical movement easy, a load-balancing system negates the weight of the arm and torque tool.
