The client needed a safe ergonomic solution mounted to an overhead hoist for a UTV tire assembly process.
GCI designed a custom end effector with a 3-point tire gripper and powered tilt. Once a tire is moved near the final assembly, the manual roll allows the operator to line up the hub. The central hole in the gripper allows access to secure the tire fasteners.
