Custom End-of-Hook Vacuum Gripper with a Rodless Air Cylinder

The client was seeking an ergonomic solution for safely moving rolls for pressure-sensitive tape.

GCI engineered a custom end-of-hook handling solution with special vacuum pads for the gripper to safely handle the material rolls. The pads contain several small holes instead of one large suction cup like our standard vacuum grippers. This design allows for gripping irregular or perforated surfaces while still maintaining an air-tight seal.

This end effector also features a rodless pneumatic cylinder. This option takes up less space for a more compact design.
