Sometimes an operator is required to push down or lift up a torque arm to keep the tool engaged with the fastener. Or pressure is required for a part being handled by a manipulator to correctly install on an assembly. Adding the upward/downward bias feature adds an extra thumb lever to apply pressure in the desired direction. This improves operator ergonomics and consistency for the process.
