The client needed a safe and ergonomic solution for handling spindles used in paper roll applications.
GCI designed a custom manipulator with a 12 ft reach and an OD gripper to securely capture and handle the spindle. The operator controls can pivot to either side, providing flexibility in positioning the controls based on the operator’s preference and the handling process.
The system also features the standard one-button grip and two-button release, helping prevent accidental release of the spindle during operation.
