Manipulator arm with Extended Reach Gripper for Catalyzer

The client needed a safer and more ergonomic way to load catalyzers into a large enclosure without requiring operators to crawl inside and manually maneuver catalyzer cubes into tight spaces.

GCI designed a custom handling solution with very compact end tooling to work within the limited clearances, along with a long reach extension that allows the catalyzers to be positioned from outside the enclosure. This helps reduce awkward handling and minimizes the need for operators to enter the space during the loading process.

To support safe part placement, the system includes a load sensor that prevents release until the catalyzer has been properly set down, helping reduce the risk of an accidental drop.
