The client needed a small benchtop torque reaction arm to precisely track the tooltip location and assist the operator through the fastener rundown sequence of a pump assembly.
GCI designed a lightweight linear-slide torque reaction arm integrated with our proprietary AdaptiCS® software. The combination of 3 high-accuracy optical encoders and AdaptiCS® empowers the client to errorproof the fastener rundown sequence and applied torque. A display screen communicates the torque procedures and quality data to the operator to help guide the process.
