The client needed a safe and ergonomic solution to assist the operator during the wheel weight assembly process.
GCI designed a steel torque reaction arm with up to 12′ of reach. The downlink connection to the tool rotates freely to make it simple to line up the tool with the fastener. Load balancing makes moving the tool up and down require little force and is intuitive for operators of any experience level (no additional controls). A parking brake locks the arm when the tool is unnecessary.
