The client was searching for an ergonomic solution to safely move a frame in and out of a painting operation.
GCI designed a manipulator arm for a load capacity of up to 200 lbs at 12 feet of reach. The end effector easily grips the part with a custom-designed gripper.
The operator controls the up-and-down movements with clearly marked variable speed levers. In regard to ergonomics, the linear balance handle keeps the controls at the ideal height for the operator.
