GCI designs and builds custom ergonomic lift assist and torque reaction solutions for major manufacturers across North America. In your drafting role at GCI, you’ll gain hands-on experience creating and refining prints using Autodesk Inventor in a supportive, real-world engineering environment.

Qualifications:
Currently pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting & Design, or a related field
Some experience with CAD or mechanical design
Basic understanding of mechanical components and terminology
Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor is a bonus
Responsibilities:
Creating and updating part, assembly, and fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor
Applying drafting standards to ensure accuracy and clarity in all technical documents
Reviewing existing drawings for accuracy and making updates based on engineering feedback
Collaborating with engineers to clarify design intent and resolve design issues
Skills:
Knowledge of basic drafting standards (callouts, dimensions, tolerances, etc.)
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Suit (Outlook, Teams, etc.)
Strong communication skills — not afraid to ask questions and speak up
Time management and self-motivation to meet deadlines without rushing
Willingness to learn from mistakes and adapt quickly
