Hook-Mounted Manipulator for a Snowblower Guard

The client needed a safe and ergonomic solution for installing guards on snowblowers.

GCI designed a hook-mounted vacuum gripper system that is easy to use and improves operator safety. Adjustable-height handles allow operators of various statures to work comfortably, reducing strain and repetitive motion risk. The system’s simple controls feature a one-button part grip for efficient handling and a two-button release with an extra safety button to prevent accidental drops. To enhance flexibility and balance, the manipulator includes three different hook points. This adaptable design enables smooth handling across multiple configurations and part types. By combining ergonomic adjustability with redundant safety measures, GCI delivered a reliable solution that minimizes injury risk for operators installing snowblower guards.
